I was planning on building a PC within a year by buying each part monthly, but thanks to a user on this website, I've decided to just save up the money and build it all at once. My only problem is that I've never build a computer before and I'm afraid of buying incompatible parts. Granted, I'm no novice to computer technology, but I'm smart enough to realize I don't know everything. I'm asking for advice on a practice, hypothetical model. Meaning: I went on TigerDirect and just built a model after doing some research and want to see if I overlooked anything. I have another post on here with a configuration in it as well, but this is a different one. Any assistance would be appreciated! Here's the config with links to them on TD:

Case: Thermaltake WingRS 100 ATX Mid-Tower Case (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3180428&Sku=T925-4100)

Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream 600-Watt ATX Power Supply (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3972105&Sku=O261-2012)

Motherboard: Biostar TA760G M2+ Motherboard, Socket AM2+, µATX (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4439469&Sku=B450-2381)

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Quad Core, 3.00GHz, 6MB Cache, 1800MHz FSB, Socket AM2+ (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4330959&Sku=CP1-AM2-940)

Memory: Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (2 x 2048MB) (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3228139&Sku=C13-6082)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green HD, 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB SATA-300 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4426054&Sku=TSD-1000EADS)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce 9400 GT, 1GB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4111744&Sku=E145-9402)

Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy SE (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4459743&Sku=C44-3400)

Optical Drive: Lite On Blu-Ray Disc Reader with DVD Writer Combo (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4354127&Sku=L12-1194%20OEM)

Well that's it. Now remember, I'm not actually planning on building this configuration, I just want to test my skills (or lack of) for one day building one. If you have some extra time and have experience of building computers, please check these links and let me know if there were any compatibility issues that I may have overlooked. Please and thank you :)

I'll probably do a lot more research on parts when the time comes to really shop for them. For now though, I just want to make sure that I have the necessary knowledge to build my own without wasting money on incompatible parts. I'm planning on saving at least $1500 for my build, but might wait a little longer to make it a $2000 box. We'll see. I'm excited though. It'll be the first computer I've ever built so I want everything to be perfect! :D
