Hi I want to install Windows XP on to a laptop but it is not loading from the CD Rom.
I have a fujitsu laptop. When I press F2 to enter the BIOS it asks me for password. I do not know the password as I brought the laptop second hand. How can i access the BIOS? please help
Would removing the motherboard battery cause the password to be erased? A password IS a change to the BIOS. Maybe you should post this in the core hardware forum instead.

Many laptops (particularly business laptops) have a password embedded in a ROM chip. If that is the case and neither the user nor the master password is known we cannot help you on these forums where such cracking of password protection is barred (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=51222).
but it is not loading from the CD Rom
You might be able to set it up to install from the hard drive (http://paulski.com/zpages.php?id=1711) by moving the hard drive to another PC. It is also possible that there is password protection on the hard drive - but nothing ventured nothing gained.
