Are my specs actually good?

I went into my local pc repair store, and they said my computer is "speedy", but it's crap, it can't run any game if you set it to high graphics, and it's really old.

Windows XP professional
Pentium 4
2.66 Ghz
128mb ATI Radeon 9250
1GB Ram

Well, honestly gaming is different from being able to run the OS and other productivity apps in terms of "speedy", but... yeah, your system in general is old.

Gaming performance on that thing is laughable. Running WinXP on that thing is "speedy". So it depends on what you're measuring.

If you want to do gaming, you should really start over with an entirely new computer at this point.

Windows XP should fly on that computer. I managed to make XP run on a 400mhz Celleron, 256MB Ram ETower 400 Idx at a tolerable speed.

P.s That's the Same Ram And HD that's now in my windows 98SE
