How do I find out who really made my sound card. I have an Nvidia riva tnt2 model 64 based card. After checking nvidias site I have no idea who really made my card. Thanks

Somewhere on the card you should find an FCC ID number. Look it up Here (http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/)

You'll find it was made by a company somewhere in China whose name you could never pronounce, in a town with a name that sounds like something squiggly that was found in your plate at an oriental restaurant. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

If you find that much.

I looked up the original modem that came with my computer. The FCC said it belonged to an electronics company in NJ. They just import them from many places in China. So if it is made in China you may never know who actually made it but you may find who imported it and maybe somewhere to start looking for more info about it.
