Hi everyone Im looking for a little help on this Laptop that's giving me some issues.

Specifications:
- Laptop
- HP
- AMD Turion Dual Core
- 3GB RAM

Problem- It seems like it is in some type of loop. It restarts itself about 5 sec after displaying the log in screen. I cant boot into any type of safe mode , I can however boot from the last known good configuration and the PC works fine , but if i restart it, it will continue to restart itself unless i press F8 and boot from last known good configuration. Since it is booting from last known i really don't think that it is a Hardware problem. I ran AVG and found nothing , spy bot did pick up a few things and fixed the infections. The problem still persists thereafter.

Also , there are 2 programs i am very suspicious about.
- AntiTrojanProMFCT
- AdwareAlert

I found these in ms config in the start up tab but they are unchecked. I went to location and have deleted them but they are still present in this type. Virus scans do not pick up on them either. I'm sure there is some type of registry entry that needs to be deleted.

Rogue drivers or malware would be my own suspicions. I suggest you start another thread in the security section and post a HJT log (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=60009) to it. Once malware is excluded we can consider other approaches after you report back here if you want.

I'm heading for bed but just skimmed through your HJT log elsewhere. I'm not great at reading them but if you are running two antiviruses or two firewalls simultaneously then you should uninstall one since two at once can cause conflicts and various untoward events.

Try Restore to an earlier date until you find which last install gave you this problem. One thing your lucky is that the problem is persistent (always there). Good luck.
