Please give me your opinion. I plan on upgrading the video card when I get a job. I just don't want to get ripped off. He has a faster processor, bigger hard drive and a way better video card. I will be using my TV as my main monitor. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm he's proccessor might have higher clock speed, but you have a Core 2 Duo which pawns Pentium Processors. And the desktop he's offering u seem old since it uses ATA.

so should i stick with my computer? I could always upgrade to a better video card when i get a job. what do you guys think?

personally I'd save up about $400 - $500 with your job, sell the laptop after you save up said money for atleast $250 to $300, and get a custom rig built. You can build a pretty decent gaming rig with around $800. His rig really isn't all that impressive, especially running on ata still.

His video card may be way better than your integrated graphics, but it's very low down the graphics card food chain. That coupled with the single core processor, I'd leave it and save for a budget build instead!
