Problems with Windows Fax and Scan

Hey. I am trying to use the Fax and Scan program to send a fax. I have Vista Business. When I try to send a fax it tells me that the media is write protected. I have tried everything. Sending both from a Word document and sending straight from the fax program. Neither work.

I used to be able to send faxes from this program and then the hard drive failed and it was replaced with the exact same set up. Hope you can help.
