Got new HD, and external enclosure

Got em in today. I will be putting them together tonight. Is there anything specific I should know or do or not do before I start this project? Thanks.

It's usually quite straightforward though if you bought them separately the drive will probably need initializing (partitioning and formatting) before it can be accessed. This can be done in Disk Management (enter diskmgmt.msc into the run box in WinXP). New large (>127gig) HDDs in very old enclosures could run into 48bitLBA firmware problems - but pretty unlikely nowadays.
