Well, I can easily capture stereo audio from anywhere, using suitable audio software and the system mixer, but I would love to be able to capture live video of what is going on on the VGA and/or DVI port so that I can use that footage as teaching tools in videos etc.
Does anyone know how you can do that?
There are capture tools available as trial software. I remember having to use one because one of my professors couldn't be bothered to read through a written report. It was a programming project too.
The only problem I found was that it was a monster about memory usage.
Ok, found it, it's called Hypercam. Attaching the Google search link here (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=opera&rls=en-GB&hs=sx&q=hypercam+download&btnG=Search&aq=2&oq=hypercam&aqi=g10)

Maybe I have misunderstood but might Getting Started with Screen Capture Using Windows Media Encoder (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/howto/articles/screencap.aspx) be of any use?
