Hey all, I got a 2GHz P4 with 256mb PC133 SDRAM (512mb more coming in the mail). I just built it as a replacement to my 1GHz system... Everything works fine, except I don't have any front panel connectors... the case I'm using is a propriety Dell from 1999 that I've painted. So the original front panel obviously doesn't fit. I power this thing up with a screwdriver, but that's really inconvenient. What should I do? Motherboard is an Intel D845HV.

Why not drill out a hole for the power and reset, use a pair of needle nose and file for fitting and then use the old panel reset and power buttons in the holes. Once they are in place use tape to hold them and then either hot glue, epoxy or jbweld them in place?

Found an Optiplex front panel and after much experimenting, got it to work :D

This Reminds me of when I got my current graphics card for my acer. The Graphics card was Gigantic. I takes about 20 seconds to get the side off. No unscrewing required. I just push down of a lever on the back of the case and slide it off. That wasn't the hard part. It took me 15 Minutes to fit the Graphics card in. But, after getting it in It worked very well.

Also, Your Intel Build has the same Sound card as my laptop.
