BUT no Manual, it makes copies real good and I would

I'm sure it can be done directly from the scanner software, but since I've never used that program, I'll tell you the slightly more difficult way. Don't be alarmed by the word difficult, it's fairly easy...
Open your email program, I'm assuming Outlook Express...STart a new message. Click the Insert option in the tool bar and click Image. Browse to the picture you want to use and double click it. That's about it. You can do basically the same as an attachment, just click insert attachment, the rest of the procedure is about the same.
Should be close to that for Netscape.
Make sure you save the pictures in a format anyone can use before sending, like JPG, GIF or BMP. Many scanner/photo programs save pictures in an oddball format by default, you have to select the format you want to use if you want other people without that program to be able to view them. Try opening a *.wmf file sometime without MS Publisher or Word...

Graphics programs usually have an Export feature, where you can select the output file type. I believe that JPG is the general favorite when producing a photo for e-mail attachment because the compression allows a smaller file size.

I use iPhoto and it has an email icon and option in the menu bar that's pretty simple, and the program in question here should have a similar option, but I don't have an email account at the moment that uses Outlook Express, so I have to use the attachment method with yahoo. I'm using my sister's ISP, (we take turns) but don't have an email account, otherwise I'd be stuck with Juno again which is worse than having no internet connection at all...Don't know anything about Vistamax either.
When I do use OE I usually use the insert or attachment methods I described above, since they work very well, and it eliminates having two programs running at once, which is a consideration in my case, having limited resources to begin with...
Reid has a good point, JPG usually does compress to a smaller file size, and most picture viewers can use it. Windows itself can too, it uses Internet Explorer to open JPG files. GIF and BMP can be opened with paint, or about any picture viewer. I think IE will open them as well. What program Windows uses depends on what's set as default for that file type.
