PLEASE HELP!
I have a SOYO K7-VIA motherboard with AMD Athlon K7 950MHz CPU.
I need to put 512MB memory. I bought two AVL 256MB PC-133 SDRAM 168pin memory. When I use single 256MB on the board each DIMM works and passes longer memory test. When I use both of them they do not pass the memory tests at boot-up.
With this motherboard you can put single DIMM anywhere you want. So I tested both DIMMs using bank 1/2/3 and both of them worked fine when they are alone. When I put them together (bank 1/2) they do not work. Memory test fails.
I checked without my network and modem cards. Same results.
I have tried couple of things with the BIOS. Used minimal settings or boosted up to turbo. Again single DIMM works but not both.
Any help will be appreciated.
