I need help. I have a LAN network with my son. We were both using windows 2000 pro, and everything worked we could access each others computer. I updated his computer to Vista ultimate. I’ve set both computer to share, we are both on the same workgroup, I’ve checked that both computers are correctly named. When I go to my network places both computers are shown, but when I click on my sons Icon I get, \\Noraa is not accessible. Login failure: account currently disabled. Can anyone tell me where I’m going wrong thanks Kelvin

Try this first:

It is advisable to share folders, not the whole drives.
In Vista the easiest method is to use the Public Share folder for shared files, not the Shared Documents folder that was used on prior OSes. You may have to go into security console and specify if passwords are required for the folder.

Believe it or not Vista requires passwords. Do the accounts on the Win2K boxes have passwords?
