Hi.

Pardon a repeat question, but the previous post seemed incomplete. Could you try me instead? :-)

A friend has 3 pc's in a small lan for his small courier business. One of them has an ISDN dial up line and this PC has good, full net connection. We'd like to get the same for the other two, and have email facilities for several addresses, even if only a couple of people will be reading them.

I understand I will need a proxy server. Could you reccomend a good free or very cheap one? I've heard of Jana. Does it work? I tried installing wingate trial once, but it didn't see the other pc's. Obviously configuration of the type mentioned in the previous thread needs doing!

Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use the proxy software from AnalogX. You can find it at http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/proxy.htm
It's only 251K...like all of AnalogX's software, it's small, it's free and it WORKS!
The readme file has all the instructions on how to set it up.
I'm using it for a small 3-computer LAN that's using an old-fashioned peer-to-peer (yep, outmoded BNC connectors 'n everything) to share an ADSL connection.
