hi can somebody help I am trying to fit a ata-100 card because my m-board don't support drives over 4.8 gig, i was wanting to leave the hardrive on attached to the motherboard its a 4.8 gig, is this possible or do I now have to run both old and new drives from the card.

I am lost on this one!!! If you tell us more about your system, I'm sure someone can help you. If you know how old the system is and what operating system (Win95 or 98 for example), what kind of processor you have......that sort of stuff......then we can give you ideas of how to get both drives going.

Also the BIOS; there is maybe a BIOS flash available for larger harddrive support.

Hi again sorry for not including details of my system, this is what i beleive my machine to be TX ProII with a pr cyrix 200 MHz Processer its one of them "on board" sound and graphic machines,its approx 3-4 years old (pc chips 571) I purchased this raid card because my motherboard only supports drives upto 8.4 gig, I was told this was the only option or change the motherboard, I was told the flashing of the Bios could cause me problems I would be very grateful for your help on these matters.
the operatering system I am running is win 98 se
