Hi all,

I have to buy a TV which is to be continuously used (as a CCTV). Which choice will be the most durable and long lasting one ?

Plasma, CRT or LCD ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Plasmas used to be susceptible to burn outs; although newer ones are much improved. CRTs, although bulky and heavy, are very reliable and deliver great picture.. LCDs however are commonly used for 24/7 TVs... look at your local store and you'll see them used to display ads, banners, security camera monitors, etc. Either LCD or CRT in my opinion.

LCDs are nice, but i was told a while back that CRTs are more stable. the nice thing about CRTs is that if a couple of pixels go bad, you can attempt to fix them (I'm not sure of the procedure, I just have been told it's done) where as the LCDs and Plasma screens are harder to do so if not impossible)
