My Hdd apparently has a bad sector 0... I've had issues booting up for a while now... 75% of the time it won't boot and says "primary drive 0 failure" and won't do anything , but occasionally it will boot up as if nothing is wrong, this happens more often if I've booted some kind of recovery or utility console right before... any thoughts?

What/who told you about sector 0?
What make/model of HDD?
Desktop or Laptop and from what era?
Which version Windows?

It may well be failing or there could be other explanations such as a bad or loose cable or connection or a failing or inadequate PSU.

You could test the drive with its maker's diagnostics (available from most maker's websites) or with HDTune (http://www.hdtune.com/) from within Windows.

In any event backup any important data NOW while you still can.
