I stumbled onto this youtube video. I did a quick scan of the forum, and didn't find anything. Should I be concerned?
Please watch for more than 30 sec, that's when the good stuff starts.

I wouldn't be surprised. one could always try in Linux... I currently don't have any linux system up. I am afraid of what this country is turning into.

Of course it's not real. Glen Beck is C**k S**king, Mother F***ing lying sack of pig ****e. The privacy policy is the one between dealers and the government. The consumer policy is here (http://www.dot.gov/privacy.html).

LOL,
We have Glen Beck advertising "buy gold!" in radio spots out here, claiming you will get rich investing in gold.
I find the more he opens his mouth the more I would recommend you do exactly the opposite of whatever he is pitching at the moment. He is just a pitchman like Billy Mays or Vince-the ShamWow jerk.
This pitch is selling fear. He has no insight that anyone else does not have.

Well, it is real, but it is a standard government deal. It isn't that the government is trying to get in as many systems as they can it's just standard practice. Is anyone really surprised by this??? But you do give up the rights mentioned in the case the government decided it wanted to if you click agree. ;)

Right...basically, if you are going to be doing much with that site (like you are a car dealer) then dedicate a single machine to 'government use'.
And looking at the actual wording of the agreement reminds me an awful lot of the wording of the agreements from when the Internet was in its infancy...it's almost as if that agreement were written over thirty years ago.

Thanks for the replies.
Hey Classic, don't be shy, why don't you tell us how you really feel about Glen Beck? :)

The reason I am so upset (read p***ed off) is he is lying. He is taking a web page that the public will never see and claiming something that is 100% false. This is utter c**p. Go on the gars.gov site and see if you can find what he says.

Thanks, and light hearted joke,,,,,done.
I find it EXTREMELY scary, that the government even wants the ability to mirror anyone's computer, including a car dealer's. I ask myself, who's next?

One thing I will say is if you are going to participate in this program, or any other government program, the government pretty much owns you anyway. ;) So why all the crying in the first place over a standard government practice...
I am not saying I agree with the practice, only that it is to be expected. If you want to participate, deal with it or don't do it. ;)

This applies to the dealers not the public. I don't care what agreement the government forces on the car dealer. What I can't stand is political hacks of either party misleading the public and getting people upset over nothing.

Fair arguments.
But, can anyone say that you are not part of a government program?
Either you pay taxes to the government, or you are a recipient of a government benefit.
Either way, I still ask, who's next?
that's why I said that I fear for the future of this country. In a nation with out morals, the government needs to step in more and more. (that's why USA's founding fathers [I would say "our" but some people aren't in USA... said that the constitution is only for a moral and righteous country, no other will survive.)

Well, this is a huge subject and one I could rant on for hours once you get me started. But I learned a long time ago this forum is not the place for it, and other emotional topics, and so I will leave it at that. :p
