Hey folks,
I know this question has been asked lots of times, but i'm stuck. I've read several of Pete's replies on this subject and went through the different sites (www.hardwarehell.com Pete's Computerlinks, etc) with no result. So someone please help me.
I'm looking for the mobo's manuals for two different 486 PC's
1) 486DX4 100mhz 4ISA/2VLB 2X72pins Simmbanks and 4x30pins simmbanks. AMI BIOS ID-string 40-P101-001437-00101111-072594-GREEN-H.The only info i retrieved here was the manufacturer Hsing Tech USA (PCchips). No model or manual! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
2) 486DX2 66mhz 8x30pins Simmbanks. AMI BIOS ID-string 40-D100-001223-00101111-040493-UMC491F-H. Think the manufacturer is BIOSTAR MICROTECH INTL. CORP,not sure though.
If u help me through this one, i'll be forever in your dept (as if i wasn't already)
Thanx in advance.

I can't find anything on either one, have you tried the AMI Motherboard ID Utility posted at Wim's BIOS (http://www.ping.be/bios/index.html?http://www.ping.be/bios/numbersami.shtml)?

From http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/confused.gif to http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif to http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif to http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I found them both!!!!
No. 1 is a PCchips M912 mobo Also known as the Eurone 4200 or Amptron DX6099. In my earlier post i wrote down the wrong specs for the ISA/VLB busses.
No. 2 is Biostar (http://www.bioteq.nl) MB1433UCV mobo.
Already dowloaded the manuals.
Two thumbs up to your Links Pete.

No1) through http://www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/pcchips/pccjs.html and http://go.to/ajz (Manual in German!!)
no2) The bios ID string said 1437 for the third number. After i had taken out the mobo i found "MB1433UVC" on one of the VLB. As i thought the manufacturer was BIOtech Corp. After that it was easy http://www.bioteq.com/index2.htm
Hope this info will do.

Chipset number is stamped on the chipset. If you look trough the motherboard manual you'll probably find the chipset number listed, look at the motherboard and find the chip with that number, that will give you an idea what chips to check. Most boards have 3 or 4, a bit over an inch square, on my boards anyway, and one will be the main chipset. What I do if I need to look one up is write down all chipset numbers, one of them will match the numbers listed when I try to look up the board itself.
Mine for instance has aIntel chips 82371SB, 82437VX, i430VX and another I can't see. When I try to look up the board, the i430VX is the only one listed. The others are support chips.
The ID utility is posted on each of the motherboad ID pages at Wims, near the top of the pages. Award makes one, and AMI makes one. When you go to Wim's look up the Award Numbers and AMI Numbers links on the left.
