Recently purchase new video card with fan and heatsink glued to processor. Glue comes unstuck. Is there anywhere where I can purchase this type of glue on-line? I really don't want to send the darn thing back as defective. (Would interfer with gameplay!) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Thanks in advance.

I realize you dont want to be down; however, if you are successful in "re-glueing" the heatsink & fan on the chip....and dont do it by the Mfg. specs and it overheats and fries......you just bought an expensive vid card! My advice.......TAKE IT BACK.....there is a reason the assembly came off and you need to know what it is (ie poor construction in the first place). Some of the new vid cards have thier own sink/fan assemblies because they RUN HOT ! I wouldnt take any chances!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Want my honest opinion? If it's new and the glue doesn't hold, by all means send it back. Continuing to use it you run a good chance of the heatsink and fan falling off in use and scrapping not only heatsink, fan and video card, but shorting something on the motherboard and scrapping it too.
Which is preferable. A few days of poorer performance, or replacing video card, motherboard and possibly memory and CPU? Wonder what else would fry if you suddenly had a major short on the motherboard? IDE controller? Sound card? Modem?
Send it back!! The alternatives are not pretty...or cheap...

Same thing happened to me. I waited for a week to get my new Video card and when it came I ripped open the box only to discovery it's heatsink/fan hanging by it's cords.
AHHHHHHHHHHH......
After picking myself up off the floor. I sent it back for a replacement.
You should do the same.
