Hey, i have a dell 745 (mini tower) with upgraded ram and power supply ,2gb corsair pc6400 800mhz dual channel 550watt corsair, included pci-e power connecter, e6300 duo core 2, i have a x16 pci-e slot ready and want to put it to work. Now to the question, i have the power requirements to any graphic cards full sized, im affraid of over powering the motherboard cause these motherboards are not ment for gaming, on this url http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/op745/en/UG_en/mt_spec.htm#wp1133451 under power x16 its shown as "75watt". im looking for the best card to place in that slot, PCI-e 2.0 cards are backward configured to work with pci-e 1.0 too, (money is not a problem) 1280 x 1024 will be the max resolution i would be using. 75watt is that meaning TDP? , http://www.techarp.com/showarticle.aspx?artno=88&pgno=1 ? thanks prefer ATi over Nvidia i was looking at the HD4770 http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4631412&CatId=3670 (tiger direct fan) thanks =)
