Ive just learned how to successfully refill my HP toner cartridge with new toner. Now, I want to learn how to empty the "waste" collector drum that sweeps up the spent toner powder WITHOUT having to cut a hole in the drum and then cover the hole with electrical tape. I know there is a way to disassemble the drum and empty it. Does anyone know how/where I can find the procedure for the emptying without paying someone $100 for a videotape showing this?
Thank you.

I would think you would empty it from the hole it collects from! Shoot, how much could a toner collection plastic drum cost....$5 ??...you could spend $20 of time to figger out a free solution to a $5 problem.

Actually a plastic arm the length of the toner cartridge "sweeps" the spent powder into the waste drum. Ive priced "empties" and the going price is $25.
