First:

How to run a scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) or Here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html)

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.[/QUOTE]

Second:

Now run Combofix...follow the instructions, exactly.

Please do the following:


Download this file - combofix.exe (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop (it needs to be run from the Desktop). Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log for you.


Note:

Do not mouseclick Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause the program to stall...

Third:

IN THE ORDER LISTED BELOW

Re-boot the system
Post the Combofix Log
Post the MBAM log
Post a new HJT log
Tell us how the system is running.

Superb and thank you once again. Its helped me get rid of all the irritating malware that i had absolutely no clue how to handle.

As before with other issues I have had with other computers where I have needed your help I was already prepared.

Heres what I did before contacting yourselves

I downloaded malware bytes ran it and it detected 7 objects and deleted them. Then I restarted the PC and ran it again, then it found a further 7 and then asked me to reboot , then it asked me again then it failed to delete the items. (This was before I contacted you guys yesterday)

I downloaded ad aware and it found some nasties and said it had deleted something called a rootkit?

I downloaded avg and ran a full scan it found and deleted (so it said) some nasties I rebooted the pc and ran the scan again nothing found.

However, I know that there is something still there as firefox is not working like it should do. Also I attempted combofix but I received a BSOD (I haven't seen them for ages) I rebooted the system and ran another scan of adaware. then before I left for work I ran HJT again so I could post the log to see if we can delete anything before I try another combo fix. Also before the BSOD it said on the screen that 2 parasites were latching on and to keep a note of them they were:

can you have a look at the HJT and see if there is anything we can get rid of so I can attempt the combofix again. I wanted to wait and speak to yourselves before I ran it because BSOD are nasty and can cause damage.

I still have a few trojans left I have tried run avast and it found w32cahail (tri) and w32.agent.pz.I have reinstalled explorer from the xp disc as it got wiped out with the deletion of the trojans.

I have scanned with Malwarebytes and its clean. just these little blighters to go can you seee anything in the new hjt log below?

Also what arre root kits? there were about 7 of them on the log? before i ran combofix.
