I've run Webroot's Spy Sweeper for years, and my update subscription is just about to expire. Before I renew, I'm wondering if there's anything superior. Anyone have an opinion? My main AV is Avira Premium Security Suite.
TIA
Fred

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I've tried SpySweeper. I liked it, but I thought it was intrusive. I also tried Spyware Doctor, which was something that I liked better. Those two are probably my favorites. I've heard Sunbelt CounterSpy is good, although not as good.
Right now I'm trying to be cheap and am using the free Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition with the "partial" live realtime protection on. Then I use SpywareBlaster and Spybot's immunization programs. I use the scans from the free Spybot and free version of Malwarebytes, no live realtime protection with them (shouldn't anyway because it'll slow down the computer if you have more than one spyware realtime protection running at the same time).
