cannot connect to domain

Hi.

we have a server with windows 2003 installed and 5 computers connected to the domain, using static IP addresses. the network was working fine.

installed a new hard disk in one of the pc, removing the old one, with windows xp sp2. did the same configuration as previously, but we are unable to connect to the domain.

but when we use the old hard disk we are getting access to the server.

any help?

Did you "join" the domain?

You mean adding the client pc to the domain....when we type the domain name and the client tries to look for it.....we get a message couldnt finf domain...

Please check the Firewall on the PC. Can you ping the domain?

This is usually a DNS issue. Check the DNS server is correct in the TCP/IP properties. This is assuming you can ping the DC.
