Hi James! It sounds like you are building your first computer by the two topics you have posted....Although you will get a lot of helpful suggestions on this Forum, it is my sincere suggestion that you find someone who is knowledgeable about building computers to "walk you through" your first time at building one. If someone here accidently gave you the wrong information or misunderstood what you were trying to do....you could damage expensive components. Frequency Ratio or Control relates to the different clock speeds the motherboard will utilize to handle the different requirements that Dimms needs, the PCI devices need and the cpu needs. NEWER motherboards do this automatically when set in the bios to the default setting (older boards have a setting that permits the PCI/ISA devices to run at different speeds relative to the cpu bus speed ). You probably DONT need to change a thing regarding this !!......AGAIN, it is of utmost importance that you find someone to "physically" assist you in building your first one. and all of my advice is only worth 1/2 cup of coffee http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
