I have a computer that is about a year old,
the clock seems to loose about 20 to 30 minutes
a month.How can I correct this?

CMOS battery is going dead...need to replace it...it looks like a big watch battery and is somewhere on your mobo...

If you still have your manuals, it should say what kind you need...

As with any kind of work on the inside of the computer, you should always power it down, unplug the computer and any peripherals and make sure you are grounded (like with a static strap) and generally avoid touching things you're not actually working on

Hi,

It's most likely a weak CMOS battery. You will have to look on the motherboard. Locate the battery and make note of the numbers on it so that you can replace it with the same thing.
