Wake up by alarm feature not working

My motherboard is gigabyte G31M-ES2L based on intel's g31 chipset.The bios has the feature to wake up the computer on a scheduled time.Earlier this feature was working finely.But since 2 days it is not working,i.e,the pc doesnt turn on.......
I have tried loading the optimised defaults in the bios and but it still doesnt work.i have disabled the floppy in my bios,will that cause any problems???Please help guys........

Try changing the battery as a first step, CR3202 coin cell.
