help me please, i need my computer for college and i am at my wits end here. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated, i am totally stumped. My Cd-rom reads CD's just fine, i can see all the files on them. however, when i try to install or setup anything from a CD, it starts to work and then displays an illegal operation message. All that it says is, "Setup has accessed memory improperly or encountered some nonspecific error" i have no idea what to do, i can't install any programs now. i recently reloaded windows 98 due to a different error. it got rid of that error and was working beautifully until now. i ccan install things that are already on my hard drive or downloaded from the internet. i don't know what to do. please give me some advice.
THANK YOU
