I need help with my computer. I bought this home made computer off a friend and it worked for a couple years and then one day when I went to turn it on, it turned off right after I turned it on. So I decided to take it apart and clean it and check the power supply. And I started unscrewing and unhooking cables, which i shouldnt of but I did. Well I changed the input to 230V from 115V and it would stay on, but now cpu fan wont run and nothing would show on the monitor. Im pretty new at all this stuff and I probably shouldnt of messed with it. So is my computer dead or is there a way I can fix this? ANY help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

If your home voltage is 115v, that is what the psu should be set to. What made you think that changing the setting would fix things after it has worked fine for years?
Probably a good chance that the psu is to blame anyway. With luck it has not damaged any other internal part.
Do you have another psu that you can change out with?
