uninstall programs

I reinstalled windows because of new hardware, new motherboard, cpu but the hard drive is still the same. I reinstalled win xp on c: but there are several programs and games on another partition. Some still work, but I want to reinstall all of them so that it is sure that they work ok. But a lot of uninstallers are missing or do not work anymore. I checked in the program's folder as well. So how do I make sure that all of these programs are uninstalled, registry settins and other affiliated files as well? If possible I want to avoid formatting this partition.

The easier way would be to reinstall them to the same folders they are currently in...that will 'refresh' them and re-establish the shortcuts to the Start Menu.
