I am going stir crazy. Here is my problem. I recently took my machine apart to clean it thoroughly, and once put back together, it doesn't work. Now, before I give you all the details, know that DFI Tech Support is NON-EXISTENT. It is just a single guy who always sounds like he is eating chips and watching tv when you call, and their only solution offered is a damn RMA.

Once re-assembled, upon reboot, my machine keeps saying the following:

Verifying DMI Pool Data...............
AMD Data Change...Update New Data to DMI! Update Success

Now, I have done my homework, and I have reset my BIOS a dozen times to no avail. This has happened twice before when making hardware changes, and it magically corrected itself after a couple dozen reboots. But i haven't been able to get it running for 3 weeks now, and I am dying. to help eliminate unnecessary solutions that have already tried, I have done the following:

- Numerous CMOS Resets
- Removal of ALL Hardware and reboots with each piece added back in one by one

PLEASE HELP. I paid top dollar for this board because of the immensely good feedback and reviews, but it has been nothing but a headache.

My System Configuration is as follows:

- DFI LP DK 790FX-M2RS AM2+
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400 Brisbane 2.8GHz
- G.SKILL 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
- CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX 750W ATX12V PSU
- VisionTek 900244 Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Video Card
- 6 HDDS Totaling 3.3 TB

The only thing I can think of is doing a long (24 hour) cmos reset. Power off at the wall, hit the power button on the board to discharge the capacitors, move the cmos jumper to the reset position, the remove the battery.
Wait and reverse the procedure.
As you can see, I have close to the same board as you and have had zero problem. I ran it for a few weeks out of the case, removed the hardware and installed in the case. Refit everything and no problem.
I am about to add 4 more gigs of RAM, so I will see what happens then.
Do you get any error codes on the LED?
