Hi jamesheilig
The only difference with 95A & 95b-95C
What I can remember is that 95A was Fat 16
and had problems with a lot of early software.
Were as 95b was Fat 32 as win 98 is now
95b also had a few more add-ons.

Agree. FAT32 works much better, especially with larger hard drives. Win95B (OSR2) also sort of added USB support, but it didn't do it very well. If you haven't bought anything yet, I think you'd be much happier with Win98 Second Edition.

I agree... Win98.2 is a better upgrade... but if at all possible start from scratch to avoid OS Decay.
As far as addressing the initial points..
1) File system improvement... yes the FAT32 thing.
2) Multitasking? Well, windows doesn't REALLY do it. It does cooperative and preemptive multitasking, depending on Win16 or Win32 apps, and is another subject all together. Anyway, I BELIEVE is was introduced with 95A.
3) PNP... not sure of this either.. the first version I believe.
4) Default internet software... I think you mean by implementing IE.. that was 98.
5) No idea.
