old mcafee on new vista laptop

:rolleyes: I bought a new toshiba laptop this year, and i did something stupid, I loaded an old Mcafee virusscan 2005 on it, I cannot remove it.!! I went to control panel remove program I even had the disc in, but it wont let me remove it any suggestion?????:(

You can go to McAfee's site for a removal tool to help remove it.

My wife's nephew says the CCleaner program is capable of removing McAfee in several passes.

:) My daughter bought a 2010 mcafee for $30.00 dollars, I put it on it removed the 2005 version. CASE CLOSED:D
