Can a Microsoft software program such as MS Office be installed on another computer after the first computer dies? Thanks in advance, WolfpackRon.

From a functional standpoint the answer is almost certainly yes - even if activation is required.
From a legal standpoint the answer is that it depends on the EULA in question (http://www.cpearson.com/excel/EULAFAQ.htm). Retail copies are generally OK on one machine at a time but OEM copies only on the original hardware. The same owner can usually install on both a desktop and a laptop.
Or ... Get OpenOffice; superb and free (http://www.openoffice.org/) and install on as many machines as takes your fancy.

Paul, Does Openoffice.org have a product such as Outlook? I use Outlook to interface with my Ipod Touch. Mail, calendar, etc. WolfpackRon

Nope - there is no application like that in OO. The closest open source offering is probably Mozilla's Calendar Project and Sunbird (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/), whether that would do what you want or not. Another approach might be Google Calendar and Google Documents (http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2007/07/invite-your-google-docs-collaborators.html).
Google incorporating GMail doesn't have to only be webmail accessed. It can be configured to work in Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc and can also collect mails from other email accounts thay one might have.
