http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif Hi there. Have an Exchange server with Win98 desktop. Opening Cntl Panel/Mail&Fax - brings up 'Windows Messaging Setting Properties' box,
with Services/Delivery/Addressing tabs. Able to configure outlook to server using this. However, a laptop has come along (also Win98) and when trying to setup connection to Exchange server, opening Cntl Panel/Mail brings up Internet Accounts box. Unable to get this setup configured to the exchange server. How can I get this Cntl Panel setting to show the same options as the desktop? I appreciate any feedback. I've tried all sorts of different config to no avail..... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif

A thought - the laptop is Win98 running MS Office Standard. Do I have to install MS Exchange client on the laptop? Am I on the right track?

I don't know much about it but I think that may be the way to go. For the laptop to log on the server has to see it as a client, so installing Exchange Client might work.

Don't take my word for it though, it's basically an educated guess...

To change Outlook to an exchange client instead of an Internet email client follow these steps.
Open Outlook and click the "tools" menu.
Click "options" and then "Mail services".
Now click "reconfigure mail support".
On the new page that opens choose the "Corporate or workgroup" option.
Now you can connect Outlook to an Exchange Server. Restart Outlook so the changes take affect.

Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks ghost hacker. It worked! I squizzed around there - not too obvious as most selections are a bit more obscure but I eventually found it. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif
