When I upgrade to a new PC sometime in the future I want to build a legacy PC that runs Windows 9x for old PC games. I'm currently using a somewhat newer system and was wondering if 9x or 2k would run on it. It has onboard video and audio, dual core CPU support, x64 support, 2 IDE connections, SATA connections, and a PCI and PCI-E x16 slot. I could drop an IDE CD-ROM and floppy drive in it, but my main concern is the motherboard. Would these operating systems recognize and utilize the onboard video and audio? Or would I need to get an older PCI video card?

Better off buying a Pentium III board off of eBay...

I was assuming that. Thanks for the tip.
