Creating a webpage

Hello, I was thinking of creating a website similar to the Hostel 2 official site (h_tt_p://www.ho_st_el2.com/) for my blog but am not really sure where to start from. Do i need to know HTML, java and the likes? can someone please advise me?

And yes, for something that intense you'll need some heavy duty coding skills, including familiarity with how to embed Flash videos and scripting. Resource heavy/video heavy sites are more of an advanced skill and not really WYSIWYG HTML editor material.

any tips on where i can start looking to start my web making?
