I had a wireless keyboard and mouse. Got tired of replacing batteries in the mouse, so I got a wired one. No problems. Kept the wireless keyboard. Been using then both for months. Today I was cleaning up a little, took the keyboard into the other room, vacuumed with brush ended vacuum, came back and put in on the desk and now the keyboard doesn't work. I've tried all kinds of things, but can't get it to work. I really like the feel of this keyboard so I'm a little pissed. Any ideas how to get it to be recognized again. Why would vacuuming cause this? I mean it's not a Dyson! Thanks for any ideas.

Electronic Devices are not much stable against water. You can replace by purchasing new
keyboard. There you will also new computer accessories.
Remember i am not here for promoting China Buye. I am just telling you a site.
Thanks for bearing me
Sure your aren't...and no, I won't carry you anywhere...

When I used a wireless keyboard...
There was a "dongle" [with a button on top] that connected to the PC...
And the keyboard had a button underneath.
To [re-]establish communication between keyboard and dongle...
It was necessary to press/release the button on the dongle...
And I then had 10 seconds to press/release the button on the underside of the keyboard.
[The two had to be within range of each other during this]
If that was successful [usually was], the keyboard would once again work normally.

Hold the presses, call the New York Times, Fox News & CNN. This is the first reported computer problem not solvable with Puppy Linnux. It's the story of the year. I thought with speed and durability of PL, you could just think the letters on the screen....

vacuming might cause a static charge to build up and "spark" your keyboard......try to always "blow" your components and not vac. A wired keyboard can be cleaned in your dishwasher!!! Place on top rack/ do not use dry/ let dry for one week and it should fire up, if not purchase new one......
