Can someone tell me of a freeware/shareware program (or website) that will let me easily move info from my old computer to my new computer? Thanks

you have plenty of options.
it sounds like you have a internet connection for both pc's right? if so then a ftp program seems like your best bet. first you'll need a ftp server (vermillion ftp server is a nice, small and simple one) then a ftp client (cuteftp). it's pretty easy to figure out, give it a shot. go to places like zdnet.com or download.com for these softwares. If u don't want to do all that, then a simple communication program is cool too. there's icq, msn messenger, yahoo messenger, the good thing is that all these are free and they offer a file send option. ICQ is the best bet for this as it allows for multiple files transfer at once.
if you dont have a internet connection for one or both then post back and i can give u some suggestions. just give more details next time.

Yes, more info would be great.
What OS on both, what distance are these machines from one another?
If you are useing Windows on both, there is a direct cable connection feature in "programs>accessories>communications". You will need a parallel cabel long enough to reach each machine.

Here's the deal...my parents just bought a new computer with Win Me to replace their old one that has Win 95...both computers can be up and running at the same time (sitting on the same desk, even) but both cannot have internet access at the same time. Thanks for your help
You can get free storage space from FreeDrive (http://www.freedrive.com/), or other providers, and upload from one computer, then reconnect and download to the other. If you don't have wideband Internet, it might not be practical for very large files.
The Direct Cable Connection seems like a good choice since the computers are close together.

and here's another problem for you as well.... I don't know what you want to exchange from your win95 to the winME computer, however there are many things that just can not be used going from win95 to ME. they are not compatible.
If you could post what it is precisely that you want to transfer, we can give you a better idea if it can actually be done (succesfully)
