Notebook crashed and never turned on for more than 1yr. Never post or anything. I just would power on and nothing, just a black screen. No beeps, sounds... After 1yr until tonight! It boot and I got to try system recovery. Its an HP laptop that had a partition recovery on it. But when I tried to recover it said "No Hard drive present," pls. plug in USB hard drive. I guess the hard drive went dead? But then I tried installing XP from the CD and installation worked.
Any ideas what went wrong here?
