This is not really a problem but a question. When I send an e-mail to my father
and want to send him a link I have to send him the link itself on the page
in stead of being able to have him click on "this" or "here" etc. I believe
I'm editing the code correctly as it works when I send it to other people.
I am using OE 5.5 and he uses Eudora( I don't know if there are different versions)
Is this a conflict between Eudora and OE or is this something that he has to change
on his settings somehow? 1000 miles between us so I can't just run over to his house.
Thanks for any info.

I think this is what you wanted to know.

In IE5 if you got to the icons, & click on the arrow next to mail. You will see seveal differnt options, there is one on there that says 'send a link...' If you highlight this choice if will then open which ever mail program you are using, & the link will appear on the message space. You are then left to send the e-mail how you usually do it.

I hope this is of some help.

Sounds like his email client is set to read text format but not HTML. HAve him check his settings. I haven't used Eudora in about 5 years, so I don't remember where the settings are, but I think it can handle HTML, look under Options or Preferences. Might cost you a phone call...

Thanks very much. I will see if it is something he can change. No big deal,I just think it's a cool way to send a link. Should be fun, he's even greener at this computer stuff than I. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Thanks again

Also what ISP does he use?

Some block HTML in email and there isn't very much that you can do about it on either end.

Thanks mjc

I think it's Hargray but I'm not sure
I'll ask him.
Maybe it's as simple as that, it won't work
no matter what he does.
