We all have our little secret games that nobody else likes, but we play them because there's something about them that just appeals to us. What are some games you absolutely love that others don't? They have to be obscure games, too.
Mine would have to be...
1. Goblin Commander (bet you didn't guess that one).
2. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
3. The Bard's Tale

not really a hated game, but i find myself strangely addicted to pocket tanks. I had this on my old mac, and couldn't believe my luck when i stumbled upon it on some website a while back. It's still as fun as it was when i first played it.

Old-school JRPG's.
The old sprite-based 8-bit and 16-bit RPG's on consoles that came from Japan. I still love playing through them every now and then to relive my childhood. The good ones had such cool settings and gameplay mechanics, way beyond the standard "princess in a tower". While American console games were still promoting 1950's concepts with Barbie and G.I. Joe, JRPG's introduced an entire generation of children to ideas like strong female characters, the tragedy of war, death, and betrayal - all cunningly concealed from our parents under the guise of fun.
They still make mature games like this for kids, but they are not 2D sprite-based anymore. :( I love the graphics of the latest games, and I always will, but I still hold a candle for my old 2D games. And Monopoly.
