Sometimes it is VERY difficult to push the F8 key at the right time to get the options screen (which includes Safe Mode).......If you can boot to regular Windows 95/98 then you have the screen available.......IT'S JUST HARD TO TIME THE PUSHING OF F8 JUST RIGHT http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif.........try, try again...keep pushing F8 repeatedly as soon as ram count is over with NO floppy in machine (duh) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Randy's right about the timing of hitting down that key. But I would also try holding down the "CRTL" key instead of F8 during bootup.
Good Luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
