I will be getting Win7 Home Premium sometime next week. My concern is whether or not I will be able to create a full system image using Win7 Home Premium. If my understanding is correct, one of the difference between the Home Premium and the higher versions has to do with creating a system image. If my understanding is correct, with the Home Premium, you can make a full system image. The difference is that with the Home Premium, you can only back the image to a local drive and not to a network. With the higher versions, you can back it up to a network. Does anyone know if I am correct?

That seems to be the case. The third column from the bottom in the comparison chart (http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/windows-7/compare/default.aspx) says so.

Thanks, jlreich. That seems to confirm what I thought. Making a system image is important to me. It saved my butt a couple of times. On my old computer with xp, I had a floppy drive and used an alder version of Norton Ghost. But my new computer does not have a floppy drive and even if it did have, it would probably not work on my 64 bit machine.
