Ok, so I'm wanting to move all my game installs to a new directory (c:\games\) because I was tired of hunting thru my list of programs in my 2 Program Files folders (Program files and Program files (x86) So I wanna know if there is a way and what I would need to do, in order to change where windows thinks they've been installed at. Like changing the registry from the install files from Programs Files folders to my C:\games\ folder I just made. :p
P.S. this is to avoid any errors with my games such as "cant find blah blah in (programs files / game/ etc..)"
There is no easy way to move large amounts of installed programs...the best would be to set up the directory you want to install them in, then uninstall, clean up and then reinstall, to your new directory.

Well, moving isn't an issue, my largest file (20 gigs) took 1 minute or so, the rest just flew by, i was just wondering if there was a way to go thru my registry and change where there default install location is.
Physically moving the files isn't the problem...it is moving them in the registry that is and there is no easy way of doing it.

So there is no way I could just search for the files' registries in my regedit and change them there? or is it that there are just alot of them in there?
