I have a wired router at home for two desktops and don't need to go wireless with those, so is there something out there to transmit a wireless signal from the wired router so I can access from a laptop wirelessly? Do I just go out and get a wireless router and connect that to the wired router and create a bridge, or should I just get one of those USB transmiter/receivers, plug one into my desktop and share the internet connection to the laptop?
Thanks!
Or replace the wired only router with one that has wireless, too.
Of the three, my favorite would be replacing the wired, with the sharing setup being the least favorite. Most wireless routers offer at least 4 wired connections...so you will be paying for connections you aren't going to be using, if you just bridge it (or if you find just a wireless router/access point, it will probably cost about the same as one with the wired connections...maybe more).

Yeah I think I'm gonna end up going with replacing my wired router with a wireless. Seems like the easiest solution to implement.
Thanks!
