Hello, i have a problem with the keyboard on my E1505.

One minute i was using it flawlessly...the next, some keys started to act funny.

for instance if i hit the ENTER button, it will take the action of ENTER and also activate the letter "M" on the keyboard...if i hit the "\" key, it will activate "\" + the letter "J" both at once...if i hit "BACKSPACE" it will also hit the letter "Y"...

i saw familiar problems on the yahoo forums and they lead me here to find an answer. no one seemed to have a solution for the questions asked on yahoo forums.

FYI: i have tried an external USB KEYBOARD and it works just fine.

i have not spilled anything on the keyboard, matter of fact i had a plastic keyboard protector over the keyboard so dust/debree is most likely not the problem...

the only thing i can think of is overheating something? but highly doubt it since i cut out the plastic covering where the 2 heat vents are (one on the left and one on the right of the keyboard on the E1505)

Thank you in advance :(

The short of it is, they wear out...

Sounds like one of the pads doesn't quite have as much 'spring' as it used to and isn't lifting all the way up any longer. If it is still under warranty, then the best thing to do would be to have it checked out at a Dell service center...if not, then using the USB keyboard is going to be your cheapest option. There is a chance you can find a replacement keyboard on ebay...
