Yes that's all the hardware you should need.(make Sure it's an X over cable)
But you will need to install the network protocol and service you need,
Like IPX or netbios. The client for microsoft network, and File and printer sharing.
In the network control panel Make Sure you use the Same Name for your Workgroup on Both machines.
Then its just a matter of setting the share up for each drive
You can do that in My computer under win98.
Right click each drive you want to share and set the properties for the drive.
Under the share tab,
You may also want to consider using Direct Cable Connection instead of network cards. homePCnetwork (http://www.homepcnetwork.com/cable.htm) has a fairly good "how-to".

I'm unfamiliar with what you need to do exactly to transfer files on one hard drive to another. I'm getting a new computer shortly which will be running Windows ME. My current computer has Win 95. I can only assume that I have to purchase a cable to connect the two, but I'm unsure where you would hook it up, especially to my older computer. Do I need a SCSI? Is there a location on the net or that someone can explain, in basic terms, how to do this? I would like to do this ASAP, as I'm trying to pass this computer on to family 3 hours away. Thanks for any help.

you can use either the ethernet card or the printer usb port to transfer files.
go to http://www.homepcnetwork.com/howto.htm for a better explanation
