I'm looking for a Laptop with a non TN panel. I can only assume all of the ones advertised locally use the cheaper TN panel with the narrow viewing angle.
Are there any Laptops that don't have the cheaper TN panel?
Doing some initial research only told me "Better Laptops have a wider viewing angle"., which told me nothing. I found no mention of the type of panel any of these use!

Unfortunately what type of display is not something they usually list. Best bet is to actually go to the store and find one that is to your liking.
Laptops with wide viewing angles are out there. My wifes two year old dell has a great viewing angle. Heck there really isn't any degradation at all when looking completely from the side. She chose a glossy screen instead of the matte finish, so I thought maybe that's why, but not sure how much that has to do with it. It didn't cost anymore than the matte finish, though it did say it may delay the order.

These Laptops that sell for well over $1k I find hard to believe they still use a cheap TN panel.
Vertical viewing angle is my issue. You move plus or minus 10 degrees and the image completely changes. You can't even do any basic graphic work.
